Earlier this week, clients Wren’s Tale celebrated one whole year of having their online interiors store that was lovingly built and designed by yours truly.
Wren’s Tale was a completely new start, so this past year has marked their first 365 days as a fully functional online store that sells rustic interior pieces and accessories.
They came to Limely back in February 2020 and from then on, helped us collaboratively create brand new bespoke designs and features – all be implemented on an easily adaptable Shopify site. The first of its kind for Limely!
With Wren’s Tale celebrating a truly outstanding year of business, we thought we’d take a look back and give you a refresher of the project and let you in on what they’ve been able to achieve with their online store!
What did Project Wren’s Tale entail?
Wren’s Tale is a family affair and is a strictly online business that sells stylish home decor specialising in ‘country style interiors’. They came to Limely with simply a dream and a whole bunch of ideas, and it was up to us to make that a reality.
The main aims of their project with Limely was to create branding, a functional online store, and to leave with the knowledge of how they would manage their store post-launch.
The first step was to bring Wren’s Tale to life. After the first initial chats with our design team, we all came to the conclusion that Wren’s logo and branding had to effortlessly capture the essence of home – bringing in whatever possible to evoke that cosy, cottage core feeling. Having this in mind whilst whipping up their designs resulted in a gorgeous neutral colour palette, rustic handwritten font and a cute little wren to signify their iconic name. This not only gave them branding to use across their entire site but a great logo that will help solidify their presence amongst their industry.
Obviously, the next natural step was to start working out how we could use a mixture of Shopify’s features and our attentive development to create a show-stopping shopping experience. We made sure to place a clear and easy to use navigation menu, as well as a highly functional search bar to allow shoppers to browse efficiently.
In order to make finding Wren’s Tale’s beautiful products a doddle, we made sure to fill the homepage with lots of elements, CTA buttons, content, as well as amazing product imagery to make an excellent first impression and funnel the user to exactly where they need to be.
We also helped enable gift cards and made sure to display all of the integrated platforms that make shopping with Wren’s Tale a safe and secure experience.
1 Year Later
Since its launch date in May last year, Wren’s Tale has gained a fantastic online following, with 5,861 followers on Instagram.
They’ve added new categories, including a range of hand-made Macrame accessories, as well as conducted giveaways, sales and succeeded in driving effective traffic to their independent online store.
They celebrated record-breaking sales just a couple of weeks ago, and continue to add to their 400+ sales.
We’re so happy with how Limely’s first Shopify site turned out, and ecstatic to see Wren’s Tale thriving as an independent, small business – especially amongst a pandemic!
