Project Manager Matt and Designer Adam are limbering up and slipping into their running shoes to raise funds for not one, but two amazing causes!
Limely’s very own Matt and Adam have teamed up to run the 2020 Manchester Marathon in aid of two personally selected charities that remain close to their hearts. The amount raised will be split evenly between the two charities, and go towards helping them to continue the work that they do.
Adam – The Christie Charity
Back in January 2019, Adam and his family received the awful news that his wife Hannah had been diagnosed with cancer. But with help from all the doctors and nurses at The Christie Cancer Hospital in Manchester, Hannah was able to get the all-clear and make a full recovery! It was a tough time for Hannah, Adam and all their family, but the road to recovery would have been much tougher if it wasn’t for the care they received from The Christie Cancer Hospital. And this is why Adam has chosen to donate his half of the funds to The Christie Charity, to help them continue saving lives.
Matt – Awyr Las / Blue Sky Charity
In February 2019, Matt and his lovely wife Eleanor brought their little baby son into the world. However, in the first 10 months of his life, Baby Luka had to have multiple visits to the hospital which would cause worry and stress for any parent – old or new. Matt and his wife found the help they needed at Wrexham’s Maelor Children’s Ward where Baby Luka received the care and attention he needed to get better. Without them, things could have been very different for the new family, and that is why Matt is giving his half of the donations to the Wrexham Maelor Children’s Ward and Awyr Las / Blue Sky, so they can continue to help other families in their time of need.
So, all we need now is your help! We’ll let Matt and Adam do the hard bit, (aka run the 26.2 miles) all you have to do is donate to help support our runners, as well as the worthy charities they’ve chosen. 👉Click here👈 to find out more about Matt and Adam’s Marathon, their chosen charities and most importantly, to donate!
