As a shopper, you’ll probably know that Black Friday is a bit of a minefield. Sometimes, you feel so overwhelmed with stuff that you can’t find anything worth buying. This year, Amazon is treating us to ten days of deals, so head over to the website to check out what’s already heavily discounted. On the day, we’re expecting to see the usual gadgets like the Echo assistant, Nespresso coffee machines, Sony headphones and many more tech brands on offer.
Everyone’s favourite pharmacy and beauty store is back with a bang this Black Friday. From what we saw last year, we can pretty much confirm that Boots will be heavily reducing the price of electricals, gift sets and fragrances. In 2017, shoppers could get a Mark Hill professional hairdryer for £29.99 (RRP £60). We also saw a Philips DiamondClean electric toothbrush shoot from £300 to £90! It’s also worth signing up for an advantage card if you’re planning on buying from Boots, to earn points whilst you shop.
If you’re a fashion lover, chances are you regularly shop at ASOS. But if you’ve currently got a basket waiting on their store, hold off. According to their website, ‘the biggest sale event of the year’ will go live on Friday 23 November. Apparently, there will be huge discounts across loads of products from coats and shoes to jeans and accessories. Top tip: If you regularly use ASOS, buy the Premier Delivery (£9.99) for unlimited next day deliveries for a year – sales and special events always result in longer waiting times so it’s worth it.
Currys PC World
As Black Friday is usually centered around tech and electrical items, you know that Currys PC World should be high up on your list. The store is offering an online wishlist and pre-register link for those keen enough. Look out for 4K TVs, Xbox One and the PS4 Pro. Currys PC World has also hinted at a huge array of PC deals on brands such as Apple, Dell, Lenovo and Samsung. Oh, and there’s free delivery on every purchase.
Now, this might not be on everyone’s list of priorities. If you’re considering buying a refurbished iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or iPod, you’ll get up to £40 off the price. Although it doesn’t sound like much, it’s definitely worth checking out if you already had your eye on a particular gadget. Music Magpie also offers a 12-month warranty on all refurbished gadgets.

Perhaps you’re going to be on the other side of the screen this Black Friday. If you have your own ecommerce site and you’re taking part in Black Friday, you need to make sure you’re prepared. Here are some important ways for ensuring your website is up to scratch come the 23rd November:
