Apple makes more in 10 seconds than you do in 12 months

Every quarter, like you, we gorp in amazement as Apple rakes in cash hand over fist.

But now the lovely lads at ‘Every Second‘ have made it possible for you to sit/relax/cry as you watch how much the tech beast makes every second of the day.

There’s no wise-guy plugin to Apples’ accounting department or internal sales figures – it’s simply data that’s been reverse engineered based on info gleaned from public stats.

In the time it took you to read this far there’s a chance Apple has sold about 200 phones and had £200,000 in revenue.

According to the Office of National Statistics, the average household income in 2015 was around £40,000. Apple makes that in about nine seconds flat.

If it’s even close to accurate (and there’s no reason to doubt it is), Every Second has some cool statistics if you can see through your tears.

We were already impressed by Apple, but this takes it to another level.

Still, it’s as depressing as it is awe-inspiring.
