As a Chester-based business, we wanted to celebrate some new businesses that have recently decided to call our beautiful city, home!
Whether you’re new to the historical city of Chester or are just looking for a new haunt to enjoy over the colder months, we’ve gathered some of the best new businesses that have joined us in our amazing city! From coffee shops and restaurants to activities and more, Chester has lots to celebrate. Without further ado, let’s dive in…
1. Rooftop Social Club
Just opened this Autumn, Rooftop Social Club is a brand new social hub located on the top of Pepper Street Car Park. The independent business boasts delicious drinks from Chester’s iconic Liquor and Co, a retractable roof so life can go on rain or shine, a range of games including curling and cornhole, a pop-up cinema, yoga classes and it’s fully accessible and pet friendly – what more could you ask for? Whether it’s spontaneous after work drinks, a 30th celebration or a staff Christmas party, we’re sure Rooftop Social Club won’t let you down!
2. Chapters Book Bar
Ignited by a passion for reading, a brand new independent bookshop and wine bar is on the horizon, and we can’t wait to pop in for a glass or two! Chapters bookshop and wine bar is set to be a cosy hideaway for book fanatics across the city. A place for book lovers to relax and unwind in, with their favourite book, a glass of wine and a community of likeminded people. If you love reading and want to celebrate the art of literature with a glass of the finest wine in tow, give Chapters Book Bar a follow on Instagram to keep up to date with their launch plans. We truly can’t wait!
3. Salt House Tapas
If you’re an existing fan of Salt House Tapas in Liverpool, you’ll be buzzing to find out that it’s coming to Chester very soon! After a successful 14 years in the vibrant city of Liverpool, the contemporary Spanish tapas and charcuterie restaurant is making it’s way to the former site of Boheme, Chester on Bridge Street. Opening in November, we know we’ll be heading there for a work lunch as soon as we can!
4. Gail’s Bakery
Next up, it’s the nation’s favourite “posh Greggs”. That’s right, the delicious Gail’s Bakery is taking centre stage on Chester’s historical Bridge Street. The infamous bakery has loyal fans across the globe so it’s no wonder the homemade bread, cake and pastry café has soared to success within its first few months of moving into our neighbourhood. If you haven’t tried the delicious treats on offer, what are you waiting for?
5. The Hole In Wand
And finally, The Hole In Wand is a magical new addition to Chester City Centre, offering a range of other-worldly games and activities for people of all ages.
