Our Monthly Round-Up: August

Tom Banner

It’s basically the end of summer now, isn’t it? Hello autumn  ☕️ But for now, let’s reminisce on what we got up to in August – probably the last time we’ll be able to go out without a coat on.

There have been a few causes for celebration in August, including a new starter and an anniversary. If you’ve been wondering what we’ve been getting up to for the past 31 days, here’s your monthly run-down of Limely life.

1st August – Phoebe Visits the Office

You might remember back in April, our director Graham and his wife Sarah welcomed baby Phoebe into the world. Well, Phoebe’s a lot bigger now and she came to visit us all in the office at the start of the month. She tested out the beanbag and an office chair to see how she’d fit in at Limely. Pretty well we’d say…

7th August – Em’s 1 Year Anniversary

Content writer Em celebrated her first year at Limely on the 7th. It’s absolutely flown by and she can’t believe it – neither can we! Since her first day, Emma’s written over 400 blog posts, uploaded 132 Insta snaps and had over 70,000 words checked by Grammarly. Nice one Em! ✏️

10th August – Kero Choose Limely

If you’ve not heard of Kero, they’re long-term investors in the technology and engineering sectors. We got them in for a discovery meeting and told them what we could do for them. Turns out, they were impressed and they’re now officially our latest client. Watch this space for some snazzy branding a new site.

13th August – Kyle Joins Limely

You may have gathered that we were looking for a new developer here at Limely. Enter Kyle! Kyle is now our newest member of the team – he’s a passionate developer and an equally passionate chef. Lunchtimes are about to get a whole lot better around here. Look out for an introduction blog post in the not-so-distant future.

21st August – Carman Friend Location Pages Go Live

Our good friends at Carman Friend wanted some extra work doing on their website this month, including adding location pages to boost SEO. Designer Adam, developer Niko and content writer Em put their heads together and produced 10 beautiful location pages for neighbourhoods in Chester and the surrounding areas.

30th August – Lingerie Outlet Store Making Progress in Development

We’ve been working away behind the scenes building Lingerie Outlet Store’s new Magento 2 website. You might remember us getting started on the site back in February. Well, we’re making pretty good progress and we’re getting ever closer to the finished product. Exciting…
