Wildwood Restaurant Website: A Year In Review

We can’t believe it’s been a whole year since Wildwood went live!

A year on, we wanted to look back on everything we’ve done for the brand since launch and delve into Wildwood’s achievements since the website went live! But first, let’s recap a little about Wildwood and what we built for the brand back in 2022.

Wildwood are a national chain of delicious restaurants specialising in all things pizza and pasta (and what could be better than that!) and pride themselves on helping to create lasting family memories. Founded back in 2004, the brand now has over 40 restaurants nationwide, each situated within beautiful, historical buildings across the UK.

Last year, Wildwood approached us in need of a conversion-driven, highly-functional and lightning-fast restaurant website to drive growth and get their restaurants fully booked. We designed and developed a beautiful site with UX at the heart, allowing Wildwood to capture their welcoming and friendly restaurants within the online realm.

We pride ourselves on building lasting client relationships. That’s why we’ve continued to support Wildwood well after launching their site a year ago!

Since launch, we’ve implemented a range of improvements that have helped the restaurant chain to get to where they are today. Whether it was a minor change such as providing the functionality for Wildwood to take booking deposits via the website instead of over the phone or a more impactful change such as shifting from Resdiary to DesignMyNight, we have been by Wildwood’s side from day one to ensure that their new website is everything they need, and more!

Improved efficiency with DesignMyNight

One of the biggest changes that aided Wildwood in improving operational efficiency was transitioning from using a Resdiary integration to a DesignMyNight integration.

The new integration allows much more flexibility and ensures that Wildwood can offer various booking options including ‘Meal & Movie’ whilst ensuring that standard reservations can be made simultaneously.

Encouraging bookings with continued improvements

Ongoing improvements ensured that Wildwood stayed ahead of the competition. We supported their ambitious goals by implementing a range of site enhancements including:

  • Enhanced booking functionality that allows users to choose a particular promotion
  • Enhanced booking functionality to allow online deposit payments
  • Improved booking widget iFrame for Christmas bookings
  • Streamlined booking times for kid’s cinema showings

What's next?

Over the next year, we’re sure they’ll be plenty of further improvements to ensure Wildwood continue to thrive!

Next up, we’ll be creating a bespoke, interactive ‘Black Friday Wheel Of Fortune’ feature to promote Wildwood’s offers over the Black Friday weekend! We love working on creative projects such as this and strongly believe it’ll increase user engagement and get more bookings for the restaurant chain.
