Once again, we’re so excited to announce the launch of a brand new website. You may remember us welcoming Wildwood back in May, but for those who don’t know, Wildwood are a delicious chain of restaurants who specialise in all things pizza, pasta and grill… yum!
Before we get distracted by pepperoni pizzas and onion rings, here’s how we created Wildwood’s beautiful new site…
Who are Wildwood?
Throughout the UK there are over 40 Wildwood restaurants to choose from (and some of them even have cinemas!) Founded back in 2004 and inspired by Mediterranean cuisine, their menu combines European dishes with traditional comfort food – sounds like the best kind of food to us! Each restaurant is located within beautiful historical buildings, giving them a new lease of life full of energy and charm.
What did Limely do?
Our aim for the brand new website was to bring Wildwood’s vision to life in the online realm.

The new site has a friendly, welcoming feel that almost feels like a home away from home. The colour palette combines warm tones with mustard yellow highlights to enhance this homely feeling. Beautiful and stylish imagery is scattered throughout the website which helps to showcase the relaxed and friendly atmosphere within Wildwood’s restaurants.
We may be biased, but we think we’ve hit the brief perfectly by achieving a design that feels sleek and sharp without feeling uptight!
Our brilliant designers and developers created a bespoke online booking form tailored exactly to Wildwood’s needs. The table booking form is one of the most important elements to get exactly right for a restaurant website. Ensuring that there are no friction points, a seamless user experience and clear call-to-actions is crucial. After all, getting people through the door and dining in the restaurant is the end goal!
This distraction-free booking form is crisp, clean and utilises colour coding to ensure the user interface is easy to understand and simple to use.
Team Limely developed an interactive menu which allows site visitors to click on a menu item and view nutritional value and any allergens or dietary requirements. Not only that, this bespoke menu design allows customers to filter the menu by dietary requirements. So if you’re gluten free, you can filter the results to only show the GF options… pretty cool right? This tool is brilliant for enhancing the customer experience. Go Team Limely!
A key element to Wildwood’s business model is their take-away service. That’s why Team Limely gave this page a much needed upgrade! We streamlined the user experience to make it easy for site visitors to find exactly what they’re looking for, as quickly as possible.
Separating the take-away service into collection and delivery, allows the user to easily select the option that is relevant to them. The collection location is automatically filled in depending on the user’s location, thus reducing clicks and improving the user experience. If a customer decides on the take-away option, they can choose their preferred delivery provider. This feature improves trust between Wildwood and the user and ultimately, will result in more take-away sales!
