Remember when we were looking for a project manager a few months ago? Well, we found one. And it’s time for you to meet him. Say hello to Matt Briggs!
Matt is a great addition to the office – if not just for his great brew-making skills and worthy contribution to the office table tennis league! He’s already getting stuck into his role, making sure we’re all on track and on time. Today we sit down with Matt and get to know him a little better.
Have you settled in at Limely so far? What are you enjoying the most?
I have, it’s like I’ve been here for years (which is a good thing!) We’ve had plenty of games of darts, table tennis, pool to get to know one another! But as I’m the only Project Manager, it’s been great to start shaping how we work, learning about all of our clients, and starting to get stuck in.
How long have you been in the project management game?
I actually started in Sales originally and did that for nearly 3 years, however, I’ve had varying roles of Digital Project Manager, Scrum Master and Product Manager since 2011.
What’s the biggest project you’ve ever worked on?
I had the privilege of Project Managing Lancashire County Cricket Club’s two new websites. We split their existing site into two, one focusing on the cricket side of the business, and the second was dedicated to their conferencing and events side.
Not only was this a large project, it had very tight timescales in order to be ready for the start of the cricket season. We hit all deadlines and exceeded the targets of LCCC’s management team!
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I’m a massive Wrexham FC fan and a season ticket holder. Every other Saturday I’m at The Racecourse with my dad supporting the club. My wife and I also own a camper van, so in the summer we head to Abersoch and Newquay for some surfing! Then in-between this, I love golf, running and live music.
Okay, now things get personal. What were the last 3 albums played on your Spotify?
Imagine Dragons – Evolve
Kygo – Kids In Love
Stereophonics – Scream Above The Sounds
Where do you see Limely and yourself heading in the next 12 months?
In the short time I’ve been here we’ve had new exciting projects flying in, so to see this continue would be fantastic. And on a personal note, I want to make sure our existing and new clients get the best experience and above all, ensure their project is exactly as the client expects.
And finally, if you could manage a project for a dream client, who would it be?
I would love to project manage a new website for Wrexham FC. Coming from the angle of a fan plus the experience I and the team at Limely have, I think we could create something special!
