Whilst we know things aren’t entirely back to normal…

Shops continue to open back up and the streets of Chester are beginning to fill with shoppers once more, albeit, socially distanced. Either way, things are starting to feel like the days before Corona! (If you can remember that far back).

As we’ve made our way back on the streets equipped with our masks and hand sanitiser, we’ve noticed a fair few new storefronts that have seemed to appear overnight. That said, we thought we’d introduce you to some of Chester’s new stores and restaurants so you can begin to plan your return to the highstreet.

Shrub

Up on the Eastgate row, you can now find a trendy eatery and bar called Shrub! Aptly named, the bar prides itself of being entirely plant-based and full of botanical beauty. With its cool, trendy and simply instagrammable interiors, we can’t wait to tuck into their delicious menu and get sippin’ on their cocktails. Go and check it out! You can find their website, here.

Cafe Juno

Tucked away in Frodsham Square, a brand new coffee spot has appeared! According to their site and socials, Cafe Juno is aiming to provide a suave and sophisticated coffee spot, with a dedicated space for arts and other cultural events including music and poetry nights!

As they’re still in the middle of renovating their space, we wait on the edge of our seats with anticipation of what it will look like. To find out more about Cafe Juno – click here to visit their website!

Stile Napoletano

Already a Chester favourite in the Market, Stile Napolentano planned to expand onto the highstreet; opening a brand new pizza restaurant on Watergate Street. Although the lockdown slowed this down a little, Stile are back up and running, awaiting your reservation.

After hearing nothing but 5-star pizza reviews coming from their stand in the market, as well as the title of ‘Best Pizza in the UK‘, we can’t wait to chow down in their new romantic setting in the heart of the city centre. Click here to visit their website!

The Market’s Pop-Up Outdoor Eating Area

In order to adapt to the new normal and the current social distancing guidelines, the infamous Chester Market opened a pop-up eating area so regulars can continue to enjoy market favourites as they abide by rules and stay safe. With this newfound space, live music performances, delicious dining and great times with friends have been able to continue in full flow.

Home to a few Limely favourites such as That Beer Place and Death By Tacos, Limely is excited to see things back up and running again! Have you been yet?

Gnome and Away

Bar and bistro Artichoke is another Chester favourite of ours. Found down by the canal, it serves as a great location for food, drinks and a great Sunday roast. During lockdown, the people of Artichoke have opened up their own little beer and wine shop to give the people of Chester a chance to broaden their palettes. Offering hundreds of different beers and wines to purchase, you can equip your evening dinner with nothing but the best. Click here to find out more!
