By migrating More Handle’s existing site to Magento 2, we were able to take advantage of its extensive capabilities to drive fantastic results. Magento 2 ensures the site is always running on the latest, advanced security software, so the team can rest assured they’re protecting customer data and reducing threats.

We meticulously migrated existing products and top-performing content to the new platform using a unique import script to ensure that there was no additional work for the team. Ensuring a high level of consistency between the old site and the new was integral to retaining existing More Handles customers.

A distraction-free checkout page was essential in driving conversions for More Handles as it ensures that customers can rapidly make a purchase, without being distracted by other elements. A guest checkout option allows customers to checkout even if they’re pushed for time, as a cleverly designed pop-up box appears to highlight this quick-buy option.

By embedding marketing messages into the checkout page via a sliding banner, More Handles can highlight order deadlines for same-day dispatch, exclusive discounts and customer reviews, subtly encouraging customers to hit the checkout button!

Building robust relationships with trust signals

To instil trust, we incorporated a range of elements that showcase credibility and reliability as users make their way through the website including:

  • Trust signal banner to showcase USPs
  • Customer account area & wish-list feature
  • VAT toggle for trade customers

Customer account areas and wish-lists aid in increasing customer loyalty whilst a simple VAT toggle feature allows users to switch prices between including or excluding VAT. Making it much easier for trade customers to see the total price of products, with no hidden costs appearing at the checkout.

A stylish blog to increase user engagement

We designed and developed a stylish blog area within the new site that categorises content into three unique sections; Inspiration, News and How To Guides. The design is eye-catching, prioritises the user experience and utilises beautiful imagery to ensure a memorable experience for site visitors, reflecting the elegant More Handles brand whilst showcasing expertise and creativity.

Meticulous SEO increased organic sessions by 10.34%

Our SEO experts swooped in just before the new website was launched to ensure that everything was tip-top in terms of the technical aspects of SEO and migration; From ensuring that all 301 redirects were implemented accurately to addressing 404 pages and indexing new web pages, amongst many other critical pre-live checks.

Post-live checks such as addressing broken links or other critical errors were also prioritised to ensure that the brand new More Handles site could immediately start bringing in more business.

Improving customer satisfaction with responsive design

Previously, the More Handles team had to manually adjust image sizes and dimensions to cater for mobile devices, taking up valuable staff time and negatively impacting UX. We employed responsive, mobile-focused design to ensure the site intuitively adapts to any screen size and guarantees a seamless experience for every user.

We also ensured that the new website had brilliant page-speed credentials by carrying out tasks such as writing succinct, clean code, reducing redirects, leveraging browser caching and optimising imagery.

Advanced management software to increase efficiency

More Handles were receiving complaints regarding lead-times and inefficient deliveries, it was apparent that their existing internal processes weren’t up to scratch. We quickly recognised that this was an issue and got to work on integrating OGL software to enhance both their fulfilment and inventory management processes.

Implementing a fully-integrated digital system that assists the team in managing orders and monitoring stock levels, ensures streamlined management and ensures queries can be resolved quickly.
