Creating a corporate website with a quirky edge
We were tasked with revamping a text-heavy and difficult-to-digest website into a simple, fresh and clean online portal of information, providing support to some of the most successful legal firms in the UK.
Solicitor Assist expressed a desire for their online presence to better reflect its fresh, dynamic and industry leading approach. So they chose Limely to re-invest in a fresh fresh front and back-end… with plenty of ideas at hand, we got straight to work!Visit Website
A homepage that really knocks your socks off
Undoubtably, the homepage is the most important page of any site. It’s the first impression you can’t afford to get wrong, and with this in mind we wanted to create something truly unforgettable.
We implemented an animated introduction which made the site much more personal, almost as if someone was at the other end directly communicating with the user.
According to Bright Local, 84% of people trust online reviews as much as a personal recommendation. In order to build trust with potential customers, what better way to do this that have reviews and testimonials fade into the header section of the site?
We wanted to be different to any competitor, and dedicated the header of the site solely to a warm, fun-loving introduction into why users should choose Solicitor Assist.
Traditionally, the main navigation sits at the top of the homepage. We implemented a sticky navigation that initially sits at the footer of the content above the fold, then upon scrolling down the homepage, the main navigation remains at the top of the page when navigating throughout the site.
Next, we created an interactive timeline which navigates on the users scroll describing exactly how Solicitor Assist works. The rest of the homepage further explains the types of services on offer along with industry news and more.Visit Website
Use of imagery to portray a positive personality
Together, with Solicitor Assist’s input, we reinvented the imagery used on the existing site to really give the new site that creative edge it needed. We also added engaging iconography to illustrate services offered which further added to the clean-cut corporate, but fun looking website brief we were tasked with.
We took some snaps of the team!
Solicitor Assist didn’t have a meet the team section on their previous site, so we suggested putting a face to the name as a great way to further connect with potential clients. Our designer Emma, headed over to the Solicitor Assist offices with camera in hand to take head shots of the team.
We lined everyone up, hair and make-up done…even Tony 😉 and began to work our magic. As the day drew to a close, there was one last member of staff to snap. Solicitor Assist’s Head of Security, Sam the Dalmatian, proudly posed for his mugshot, just like the rest of the team.
And of course, we made it work on mobile too…
Every site needs to be optimised for mobile – after all, it’s never been more important with the amount of people who surf the web on mobile devices having officially surpassed those that use desktop.
We created an a seamless mobile design to ensure an effortless user experience no matter what device the user was accessing the site with.
