We’ve all heard of Banksy, the undisputed king of urban art. But now it’s time to shine some light on lesser-known creatives.
No-one likes Monday but everyone likes street art. Right? Here are some of our favourites to brighten up your day… if England reaching the semi-finals wasn’t enough!
Our favourite street art
Here at Limely, we love anything a little bit creative. Especially when it involves turning something plain and dull into something imaginative and colourful. And that’s where street art is so exciting! So, to make those weekend blues a little bit easier, we thought we’d round up some of our favourites.
This guy frequently makes headlines across alternative news outlets such as Bored Panda. And for good reason, too! Tom Bob shows the before and after of his artwork on Instagram (@tombobnyc), which is both highly satisfying and interesting.
If spectacular displays of colour and intricate detail are your things, then you’ll love Dasic Fernández. You can follow the New York-based street art creator on Instagram (@dasicfernandez) for more insight into his projects. But for now, here are a few of our faves:
This Sheffield-based artist, who wishes to remain anonymous, is creating some of the most detailed and impressive street art around. We don’t have much to say about this one, but his sci-fi-themed work speaks for itself. Oh, and you can check out his website here.
It’s time for some more informal, cartoon art now! French artist Toctoc has been creating hilarious and heart-warming illustrations around the streets of France for many years now. Follow him on Instagram (@bytoctoc) for daily inspiration and entertainment.
And now, here are some incredible artworks from unknown creators. We’ve found these on some of our favourite free photography websites so we don’t have any artist credits yet. But as and when we find them, we’ll be sure to update this post! Enjoy…
