Introducing our new Web Designer, Emma Houghton

This month Emma joins us as our first full-time employee here at Limely.

It’s a pleasure to work alongside talented individuals in our Chester office and Emma brings even more valuable years of design experience to our web design portfolio.

After getting her feet under the table, we managed to grab her for 5 mins out of her (already) chunky schedule to talk about her new role.

How long have you been in the Web Design game?

I’ve been working in the industry for almost 3 years now. Starting off as a print and brand designer for the first year and a half of my career, I quickly decided that web design was the industry for me!

What do you enjoy most about Limely so far?

My first few days at Limely have been great – I love how relaxed the work environment is! The guys here are all really fun to work with and i’m looking forward to getting stuck into some great projects with them all over the coming weeks.

What were the last three records played on your Spotify?

Drake – Views

Angel Haze – Back to the Woods

Defected In the House – Miami 2016

Who has been inspiring you lately in the Design industry?

I follow some really good designers on Dribbble that i’m always keeping an eye on but to name a couple I would say… Kerem Suer and Barthelemy Chalvet.

What do you enjoy doing outside of Limely?

Outside of Limely, I enjoy socialising with friends and family, going to the cinema, going to the odd gig and of course shopping! 😉

Where would you like to see Limely in the next 12 months?

Somewhere on the list of the Top 50 Digital Agencies of the North! 😀 I think Limely have achieved a great deal within their first year, so it’s going to be great to be part of the growth within the next 12 months and beyond!

If you could design a website for a dream client, who would it be?

Tough one! I think there’s a fair few out there I would love to work on but something entertainment related would be cool. One that I think currently needs a good re-design is the MTV website so i’d say that one!

Here’s some of Emma’s recent UI Design Concepts
